Back to the Future is as close as it gets to the perfect movie, that being said, one thing I struggle with is why did I like it so much as a kid? I remember seeing it the theaters and being floored and I was 5 years old at the time. This is definitely not the prototypical 5 year old movie. Most of it went over my head so what was so entertaining about it? This is true of most people from my generation as well. There weren't a ton of special effects, not a lot of action. Most of the humor is geared towards Baby Boomers. Baby Boomers love this movie too though, so how was a movie that is about a son trying to get there parents to fall in love for the first time that took place in the 1950's able to appeal to so many people from different generations?
