Everything works out

Another guy pointed out that in Dune 2 everything starts working out for the characters, there's no conflict, there's no danger. I've found this is happening more and more in movies

Is this because of covid? Do they want people feeling more positive? It still had cool scenes but it just got sooo repetitive.
